About technical mount submission techniques
Technical mount is a submission-rich position because your opponent is partially turned and defending multiple threats. Chokes, armbars, and back takes all happen from here, and defending one often exposes the other.
Bow and arrow chokes and collar chokes work well from technical mount in the gi. Your opponent's turned position exposes the far collar. Grab it deep, swing your free leg over their body, and finish the choke.
Armbars from technical mount attack the near arm. When your opponent reaches to defend the choke, their arm becomes vulnerable. The short distance from technical mount to the armbar finish makes this one of the fastest submissions in the mounted position arsenal.
