About Leg Entanglement
Leg entanglements are positions where your legs are intertwined with your opponent's legs, creating opportunities for heel hooks, kneebars, toe holds, and ankle locks. These positions have revolutionized modern BJJ.
Common leg entanglement positions include inside sankaku (411/saddle), outside ashi garami, 50/50, and cross ashi. Each offers different control and attack angles on your opponent's legs.
Leg lock game requires understanding of both attack and defense. Learn to control the knee line, fight for inside position on the legs, and recognize when to attack versus when to disengage. Always train leg locks with control and respect for your training partners.
