Stack pass
Fabio Gurgel teaches the stack pass from closed guard, emphasizing posture, pressure, and timing. Start by creating good posture with hands on the opponent's chest and hip. When standing up, lift the leg on the same side as your chest-gripping hand first to quickly make an elbow-knee connection, blocking their legs from getting on your hips. Once the opponent starts moving, dive in with constant pressure on both the bottom and top legs throughout the pass. Maintaining this pressure is key to securing side control.
